Bridgewater is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,727 at the 2010 census. It is the only remaining dry town in Connecticut. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 17.3 square miles (45km2), of which, 16.2 square miles (42km2) of it is land and 1.0 square mile (2.6km2) of it (5.97%) is water. Bridgewater is located on the east bank of the Housatonic River.
